Signal Mountain Newborn Photography

One of my favorite things about providing Signal Mountain newborn photography is meeting new families, but also catching up with dear families I already know! When I came to the Dowlen home, the amount their sons had grown shocked me! I last photographed the Dowlen family in the fall at an event for Chattanooga Roots. At that event, Allison informed me that they were pregnant and due in the spring How time flies! That conversation honestly feels like it happened yesterday.

Now Hattie is here! I can honestly say that everyone is absolutely smitten. They boys are thrilled to have a younger sister. They both wanted a turn holding her and handled here with the upmost care and patience. Their eyes light up when they talked about her (and they had a lot to say).

Allison joked that Hattie’s nursery is the most finished room in their house. I could have happily spent the entire session admiring that sweet room and its beautiful floral wallpaper. Allison is a designer (and informed me that she does some interior design on the side) so I should not have been surprised. It was honestly really encouraging to talk shop with a fellow mom and creative. Juggling motherhood along with a creative job can feel daunting at times. I often feel that I’m either neglecting my family or my deadlines. Then there’s always a fear in the back of my mind that all the work may just dry up one day. Allison’s faith in the Lord’s provision and perspective on the juggle left me feeling refreshed.

Congratulations to the Dowlens on the arrival of their precious baby girl! Here are my favorites from my Signal Mountain newborn photography session with the Dowlens. If you are looking for newborn photography in Chattanoga, learn more here.
