A friend recently teased that documenting is my "super-power". You should see my three daughters' baby books. I literally filled up the blank pages in the back with little memories. I'd love to put my "super-power" to work for you as your preferred photographer in Chattanooga. I want to guide you through the process of creating genuine portraits step by step. As a mom, I've witnessed first hand how quickly the time flies. Let's work together and document the moments and details you will treasure for decades to come!

I know that getting everyone ready for pictures can feel like a lot.
What should everyone wear? Where should we go? What if the kids don't cooperate? What are we supposed to do once we get there? And then, after all that, who's actually going to print the pictures?

I'll help you plan your session from beginning to end, including location suggestions, wardrobe guidance, access to my client closet, and plenty of direction during your session. My goal is for you to arrive feeling prepared and then spend your time doing the thing that matters most—connecting with the people you love.
As a former pediatric occupational therapist and a mom myself, I've had plenty of experience working with energetic little people. I can usually find a way to get a genuine smile—even when your toddler has other plans!

We'll plan your session around what feels like you—from beautiful outdoor portraits around Chattanooga to intimate in-home or studio photographs. Are you looking for a more traditional way to capture you're little one? Do you want those round cheeks, baby teeth, and eye-lashes for days photographed in a classic, timeless manner?
Then Heirloom Portraits may be the right fit for you! These more formal portraits take place in front of a crisp white backdrop and are provided in both color and black and white.
Options like composite wall art (where you compile multiple images into one printed piece) and vintage vignettes can also be selected.

Your family probably doesn't look exactly like it did last year.
Maybe your baby took their first steps. Maybe your kids lost their baby teeth. Maybe your family welcomed another little one. Maybe everyone simply got a little bit taller.
Those changes are exactly why I love family photography.
While you're primary goal may be that one picture where everyone is actually smiling at the camera, I also want to capture the connection between you—the belly laughs, the cuddles, the personalities, and the little things that make your family yours. Most importantly, I want to capture mom (who is often behind the camera) in the middle of it all.
I'll give you plenty of direction throughout your session, but I'll also give your family room to interact naturally.

I'll help you plan your session, choose a location, think through clothing, and prepare your family for what to expect. During your session, I'll guide you through posing while watching for those genuine moments that happen in between.
Then comes one of my favorite parts.
We'll choose the images you love and talk about how you'd like to enjoy them. Whether that's an album filled with your family's story or beautiful artwork for the walls of your home, I'll help you make decisions about what will work best for your space and your family.
You don't have to become a photographer, stylist, interior designer, and print expert just to have beautiful family photographs.

1. When Should I Reach Out To Book you as my Chattanooga Photographer??
It's never to early to touch base with me when you're planning a session for life's most meaningful moments. Most families book with me as their Chattanooga photographer about 2 months in advance. However, don't let that scare you off from contacting me. I'm happy to work people in last minute if my schedule allows. Filling out the contact form on this website or emailing me is usually the best way to get in touch!
2. Where do you do photography sessions?
I'm happy to plan your photography session outdoors at a scenic location, in and around your house, or in-studio. I'll offer location recommendations as part of our planning process. We will customize your session based on your preferences or vision.
3. I don't know what to do with my hands! Will you tell us what to do if we hire you as our photographer in Chattanooga?
Don't worry! I won't leave you hanging. Part of my job during your photography session is to guide your through the process. I'll give you plenty of direction, but also watch out for times to capture more organic, candid moments.
4. Will you help us figure out what to wear?
Think about it this way: The clothes you wear actually pretty prominent in your photos. The colors and textures you choose can actually have a large impact on the overall feel of your images. Therefore, I'm here to be a resource and help you choose pieces that will photograph well and look cohesive. I also one of the Chattanooga newborn photographers who offer and client closet that you can borrow from free of charge.
5. Will you help us print our images as part of our photography Session?
6. What is the pricing for sessions with you?
I full-service photography. That means that it is my goal to help you get your images off of a computer or hard drive and professionally printed. Digital files are great for sharing electronically (and you'll get a digital copy of images you purchase), but I think we're losing something by not prioritizing tangible prints of our memories. Technology is constantly evolving and changing. My wedding photos were delivered via a CD. I don't even have a device that read a CD anymore! I partner with professional print labs who use the highest quality materials. With proper care, these prints and albums are rated to last over 100 years. Talk about a true treasure!
Pricing varies depending on the type of session you are booking. Petite Sessions are available for some session types and start at $400. Full custom sessions start at $900. View the "Pricing" page for more information or contact me directly!
