Flintstone Senior Photography Session

I was intrigued when Patty reached out to schedule a Flintstone senior photography session for her niece and niece’s friends, who were to travel all the way for Kentucky. Why were they wanting to do their senior portraits here? Why not take these pictures closer to home? As it turns out, Patty lives on a lovely piece of farmland that features Lookout Mountain looming large in the background. However, a bridge that Patty and her husband re-built on the foundation of one from the Civil War era proved to be the true attraction. When Mae, Patty’s niece saw the completed bridge, she told her aunt that this was exactly where she wanted to take her senior pictures. We made it happen!

I absolutely loved that Mae invited her best friends Ella, Emma, and Avery along to the shoot. This sweet group of girls literally cheered each other on during the individual shots. This encouragement helped each girl laugh through the awkwardness of staring at a camera and resulted in some really great shots. Of course, we then had the opportunity to capture this sweet friendship with some group photos. It was an extremely hot and muggy July evening, so I was rather jealous of them when they waded into the cool creek to splash around.

Here are some of my favorite shots from this fun Flintstone Senior Photography Session. I sure hope these girls have a fantastic senior year! I know they can’t wait to graduate, but I trust they will also savor these special days with their girl gang.
