Did you know that I offer a photography client closet?? My little collection of dresses is currently small, but mighty. I have plans to make it grow. I certainly hope this will be a special element to continue to make photography session planning more stress-free for my clients.
What is a photography client closet?
Let’s back up a moment. You may be thinking, “What is a photography client closet?” It’s a curated collection of wardrobe pieces that people booking sessions with me can borrow for their portraits. At this time, my client closet is primarily filled with women’s dresses in a variety of sizes. I have found that its usually best for the leading lady to choose her outfit first. Then we can style the rest of the family around her. If my closet is popular, I hope to slowly expand to more offerings!
What you wear during your photoshoot has a huge impact on the overall look and feel of your images. My gowns have been specifically chosen because they line up with my bright, romantic style of photography. Last fall, I sent out a social media poll asking what element of planning a photography session causes the most stress. I assumed the unpredictable behavior of children would be the front runner. Instead, planning wardrobe ended up proving the biggest stressor for my mammas. I was so surprised!
This client wardrobe is my current solution. I will list images of the gowns currently available below, along with sizing. We can arrange to meet before your session in order for you to try them on. Let’s see if any of these options work for you! If you are searching currently searching for a photographer and think I might be a good fit, I would love to chat with you! Check out my portfolio here. Learn more about scheduling a session with me here.
The Process:
Let me know that you are wanting to use a dress from my client closet. Let me know ASAP so that I can be sure that the dresses will be available and clean.
I usually recommend choosing 2-3 to try on.
I’ll bring the dress to you either a few days before the session or to the day of the photoshoot itself.
After the session, I’ll take the dresses back with me and clean them for the next client. Talk about easy!
