Maggie is ONE! It has been so much fun checking in with this family every few months for their Signal Mountain milestone sessions. I’ve loved watching this sweet baby grow. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was in her hospital room, hours after she was delivered. I witnessed her excited older brothers meet her for the first time. Indeed, this is the joy of a family photographer. I get to be present for and capture a family’s sweetest milestones.
This babe was a wiggly little delight. I wish I could have recorded her little babbles. They were perfect, like what you would hear as a sound affect in a movie. Every time she opened her mouth I had a smile. My last two sessions with her were at McCoy Farms and Maggie was more reserved there, taking in the sights. This session took place on her home turf and she proved to be as lively as her older brothers. That little hair bow did not stay in place for long!
I have so appreciated collaborating with Jessi on these sessions. We always get a little carried away in choosing Maggie’s outfits (and a visit to the Sandbox often occurs). But more so, I love the fact that she accepts this season of life with all its chaotic, squirmy goodness. I always like to try for the traditional family photo (everyone smiling at the camera) and we usually get at least one. Once that’s over with, Jessi lets her kiddos go be themselves and it usually makes for some of my favorite shots. During this session, she threw them all on the bed and let them jump around, because that’s what they normally do! Our next session will likely take place at a playground where they can run, climb and be the little kids that they are.
Here are some of my favorites from Maggie’s Signal Mountain milestone session, plus a few we’ve captured over the past year!
