The Finnell’s house was like a dreamy, neutral playground for this Signal Mountain Newborn Lifestyle Photography Session. They updated an older ranch style house themselves and they did it perfectly! I joked with Natalie that I would happily turn their house into my studio, only it’s on the wrong mountain.
I first met the Finnells last fall when they booked me for a family session, with a twist. They brought Parks’ ultrasound along for a few pregnancy announcement shots. Now, just months later, he’s here and I got to see them again for this sweet newborn session!
Even though Jensen and I were fast friends at our last session, there was evidently some complaining before my arrival. Let’s be honest, a photo shoot is not a little boy’s idea of a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. When I pulled up, he was having a grand old time using the leaf blower with his dad (sorry, dude). However, when I started getting set up, Jensen was ALL ABOUT this photo shoot! He had lots of questions about my camera and pretty much wanted to be in every shot.
Jensen sure does love his new little brother. I enjoy seeing how siblings with a larger age gap relate (my own children are spaced pretty closely together). Jensen is so attentive to Parks and I’m sure he is very helpful. He retrieved diapers and wipes when we needed them in the middle of our session. As Parks gets a little older, I know Jensen is going to be primary entertainment for him.
Here are some of my favorites from this dreamy Signal Mountain Newborn Lifestyle Photography Session. I love photographing sweet, squishy newborns and their families. For more information about scheduling a newborn session with me, click here.
