A little less than 2 years ago, I photographed the Bosshardts for the first time in this very same bedroom. We were celebrating their third born child, Grady, during his Lookout Mountain newborn photography session. This time around, he was a little wiggle worm in the big kid row while his new brother was the star of the show. It is such an honor to have a front seat to witness and capture the fresh growth of my friends’ families.
Maribeth told me that at that first photoshoot, she had not really planned on being in many of the pictures. I thought she looked beautiful (secretly I’m a big fan of her sense of style) and encouraged her to pose for a few (or 20) pictures. She told me that she ended up being so glad that she gave into my encouragement. We followed the same routine with tiny baby David and I love the pictures we got!
I know that taking newborn pictures isn’t easy for my families with multiple kiddos. From my own personal experience, getting ready for these pictures has felt like more of a chore with each new addition. As a mom, you’re beyond exhausted. The older kids are full of wiggles and emotions of their own. To make it even more challenging for the Bosshardts, David arrived unexpectedly early. I’m honestly pretty in awe of how put together they all were when I arrived for the session. Despite it all, I think the results speak for themselves. I hope the Bossharts will treasure these photographs from the earliest days as a family of six for years and years to come. Here are some of my favorites from our session together.
