Photographing good friends feels much more like “play” than work. This is especially true in the COVID era. We were used to seeing the Yues at least once a week for small group, but then the shutdown happened when Elizabeth was just a few months old. We’ve missed not being able to see her growing and developing little self as often. The Yues live just down the road from us, so we have managed some porch hangs and Carole saved us by dropping off several meals while I was in the throes of morning sickness. All that to say, photographing this little family was a treat for me; even if Elizabeth was more interested in the passing traffic than the show Carole and I put on.
