I had the joy being Elena and Lane’s Hixson maternity photographer last month.  We met up for this glowy, golden hour session at Greenway Farms in Hixson. We were brought together by a mutual friend, but it turns out we had several connections through my husband’s hometown, fraternity brothers, and the therapy world. Lane is a home health physical therapist (my husband and I are both occupational therapists). Elena was very patient with us while we talked shop. 

Lane gets a gold star for being such a supportive hubby during this session. More than once when I was taking pictures of Elena solo, unprompted he would point out just how beautiful she was. He was certainly not wrong. To use the cliche, Elena was glowing! Having been pregnant three times myself, I know that the way the female body transforms and grows a life while pregnant is simply miraculous. But I also know that it doesn’t always feel so glamorous while you’re living it. Those simple, thoughtful words of affirmation can go a long way.
