Coolidge Park Family Photos

Acacia and I originally scheduled her Coolidge Park family photos for earlier in the spring, very close to her and her sister-in-law Alex’s due dates. As a birthday present, these photos were initially intended to feature “Big Greg” and his two grandsons. We ended up pushing the day back until after both new grand-babies were born. I’m so glad we did!

In my opinion, when you’ve gone to the trouble of booking a photographer and getting everyone dressed up, you might as well take all pictures of all the groupings you can think of!  I block extra time in my schedule for extended family sessions for this very purpose. It’s not everyday that you have this opportunity. (Unless you live at my house where the camera gets pointed at you incessantly.)

I’m so glad we took the time to incorporate the youngest members of this tribe when they were at their tiniest. Sure, we worked a little harder to keep the older brothers engaged during the extra photos, but I think the results speak for themselves. And let’s be honest, those little boys clearly enjoyed being surrounded by their favorite people.  Their faces absolutely lit up when “Big Greg” and “Jan Jan” got out of the car.  Grandparents possess a talent for making even the most challenging situations fun!

The real MVPs of this session were Acacia and Alex who managed to bring a 2-week-old and 6-week-old along. And they looked fabulous doing it!  I personally would have still been living in a robe at that point of my postpartum journey. Here are some of my favorites from this Coolidge Park Family Photos session. I’d love to help you capture pictures of your extended family!  For more information about photo sessions with me, click here.
