Summer Chateau Selah Wedding- Conner and Hannah

Conner and Hannah’s path to their summer Chateau Selah wedding proved a complicated one. Like many of us, Conner and Hannah have ridden the rollercoaster of changed plans during 2020. Their big May wedding shifted to an intimate ceremony. Hannah’s final clinic rotations, which are necessary for an on-time graduation, have been cancelled and rescheduled. Instead of moving back to Chattanooga, where they hoped to settle into newlywed life, they are headed in the opposite direction to Kentucky. While I know there have been tears of frustration and stress, Hannah and Conner are ultimately leaning into each other, their families, and their faith.

Their Day at Chateau Selah

Conner and Hannah opted to reschedule their wedding celebration to August for a late summer Chateau Selah wedding. Sure, it rained much of the day, but Hannah’s response was, “I don’t even care. We finally made it to this day!” Hannah and Conner were totally at peace and really seemed to savor the day. The rain clouds cleared just in time for us to enjoy this gorgeous venue before the wedding and go ahead with the outdoor ceremony.

I met Hannah through a Bible study at UT Chattanooga. She was the type of college student who would show up at my house a little early every week, just to chat. She was always quick to play with and love on my kids. Hannah raved over my simple, home-cooked meals and was the first to jump in to the clear the table and set to work cleaning my kitchen.

I remember when she first started telling us about this cute, long-haired Conner boy, whom she had met through her role as an RA. She giggled like a school-girl. I can still picture Conner, standing in my living room with his shy smile, when Hannah brought him over to meet my husband and I before she graduated and moved back to Johnson City to go to Occupational Therapy School. It was such a joy to watch this relationship begin and to now progress into a beautiful marriage.

Here’s to the Walls! Please enjoy these pictures from their beautiful summer Chateau Selah wedding.
