A friend of mine has a family slogan #wehavenochill. This week it fit our house pretty well too. I hosted two parties, completed six photo shoots, worked three days, and celebrated sweet little Margaret turning one!

Eight of us moms and 15 of our kiddos got together to decorate Christmas cookies. It was loud. It was wild. It was so much fun! I’ve never seen so much icing and so many sprinkles packed onto individual cookies. These kids were professionals and brought the best kind of Christmas magic and joy to our house.

We are completely smitten with one year old Margaret. Celebrating her birthday felt unbelievable. How could she be this old? We celebrated with ice cream on the actual day. She took her first steps the day after her birthday and seems so excited about walking. By Saturday she took five steps in a row.

We threw a little party for her this weekend. Ben’s parents, Nana, and uncle Bill drove in for it. It was so wonderful to host them. Margaret loved her first cupcake. She kept trying to share it with Ben and I. Later when she saw more on the counter, she would point and growl at them. She already has a sweet tooth.
