365 Project: Week 13

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” – Revelation 21:4

As I write this, I am home alone with the girls and Ben has gone to Huntsville Hospital to say ‘goodbye’ to his beloved Pop. We are heartbroken, but so thankful for his life and the time we had with him. It has been such a joy to watch him love on our girls and his other great grandchildren. You could generally find him on the floor playing with them, even through he was in his eighties. The last time he visited our house, he sat down on one of the tiny chairs of Caroline’s little table to play with her. He is known in the family as a “baby whisperer”. Pop was so good at being intentionally present and sharing deep love and affirmation with his family. I have often admired his welcoming spirit and genuineness with others.

And now for the pictures from this week.
